Collateral damage update II

A small update from my project.

I created a small (larger than expected) python script that brute forces a list of mail providers to extract the settings (pop3, imap, smtp, encryption) and creates an xml database with all the data.

Putting a list of about 3000 potential mail providers in it creates about 300 full datasets (smtp and pop3/imap).

This large files has been added to the evolution bug. I hope the others like the database and it wil be a large step towards automatic mail client confiuration.

I opened a similar bug in thunderbird….and it is a duplicate ! There will be a feature like that in 3.0. I think the best way to handle this is to share a database with thunderbird, so the boring stuff has to be done only once.

I hope to get back to seahorse soon
